FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

BROOKFIELD, WI, April 6, 2016 — In August of 2015, the Department of Defense awarded the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) program to the Oshkosh Corporation (OSK) where it will develop and manufacture a series of vehicles to replace part of the current HMMWV fleet. STS Technical Services, a specialized recruiting firm dedicated to providing modern staffing solutions for the commercial and government industries, will partner with Oshkosh as a provider of maintenance, service and sustainability personnel for the Total Package Fielding (TPF) and Interim Contract Support (ICS) options on the JLTV Program.

In partnership with Oshkosh, STS Technical Services will act as a supplier of both ICS and TPF Field Service Representatives (FSR’s), Mechanics, Welders, Supply Support and Lead workers for this highly coveted project. Over the course of its eight-year duration, from 2016-2024, the JLTV Program will manufacture vehicles in Wisconsin, and the TPF and ICS options will field and support the vehicles. It is expected that these two contract options will create as many as 350 jobs across the United States while also placing workers internationally when these options are awarded. As a Wisconsin based company since 1978, STS Technical Services continues its corporate mission to both assist the local economy and support the Army and Marine Corps.

“Working on the JLTV program with Oshkosh Corporation is a big honor for our company” states Rick Koenig, President of STS Technical Services. “We have been supporting Oshkosh and its defense programs since 2002. JLTV is shaping up to be one of the most important projects we have ever worked on, and the entire STS Technical Services family is proud to again be teaming up with Oshkosh Corporation knowing full well what this will mean to our soldiers and the great state of Wisconsin.”

The JLTV is a family of more survivable vehicles than the HMMWV and boasts greater versatility and increased payloads. The JLTV will be including MRAP (Mine Resistant Ambush Protected) technology that will assist in blast protection from roadside bombs and RPG attacks, and the vehicle is lightweight enough to be transported by Army CH-47F and Marine Corps CH-53K helicopters. In total, there will be four mission-package versions of the JLTV that include General Purpose (GP) vehicles, Heavy Guns Carrier (HGC) vehicles, Close Combat Weapons Carrier (CCWC) vehicles  and  Utility (Utl) vehicles, all of which can be armored.

“Oshkosh Defense LLC is excited to have the experience STS Technical Services provides with their extensive reach of capable individuals on our JLTV Team,” states DeWayne Krause, Director of Service for Oshkosh Defense LLC. “We look forward for STS Technical Services to provide Oshkosh Defense and our customer with technically strong individuals to be trained to support our JLTV TPF and ICS Field Service Representative requirements”.

STS Technical Services will begin sourcing contractors and laborers to work on this unique project beginning in early 2017. Those interested are encouraged to upload their resume via a special online drop box created for the program. Additionally, candidates are being asked to “Like” STS Technical Services on Facebook for up-to-the-minute job postings and program updates.

This unique project may begin in early 2018 if both the TPF and ICS options are awarded as projected. When that happens, STS Technical Services will begin hiring contract Field Service Representatives immediately.
